Mask RequiredNewel Scoon, General Manager of Shortline which is part of Coach USA participated in a panel discussion hosted by Leadership Orange. Leadership Orange, is a non- profit organization founded in 1992, local community and business leaders established Leadership Orange to identify and cultivate the next generation of leaders in Orange County, New York. The panel discussion was focused on transportation in the Hudson Valley Region including careers, best practices and challenges faced daily and in the future.

Mr. Scoon gave a brief overview of Coach USA’s national and New York footprint and elaborated on services Shortline offers to the Hudson Valley Region. He also discussed what career opportunities and skills are needed for the day to day operation of a bus company. Fellow panelist included: Susan Metzger, Orange County's Representative, Metropolitan Transportation Authority's Board and Co-Chair Metro-North/LIRR Committee; Lance Macmillan, Regional Director, NY DOT in the Hudson Valley, and Louis Heimbach, Chair of the Stewart Airport Commission and Former Orange County Executive.
