Mask RequiredParamus, NJ– Coach USA and its subsidiaries Coach Canada and Megabus recently concluded its “Show the Love” food drive in which its employees donated 7,000 pounds of food given to food banks across the United States and Canada.
“Food insecurity is affecting millions every day. While many food banks usually receive the bulk of food donations during the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays, it dips considerably after that time. We wanted to help fill that gap,” said Linda Burtwistle, CEO. Added Derrick Watters, Chief Operating Officer, “Our employees throughout the US and Canada stepped up to help those in our service areas, many who are neighbors in need. I am proud of their generosity; they continue to show that Coach USA cares for the communities we serve.”
The theme, “Show the Love” was derived from the period during which donations were made as it culminated through the month of February in which St. Valentine’s Day is celebrated. “We wanted to have the most impact and make it something our employees would find thoughtful. Everyone in the company got into the spirit of it.”, said Dan Rodriguez, Vice President of Public Affairs.
“As food banks continue to be there as a resource and safe place for Ontario families to turn to when they need assistance, we couldn’t do this work without the support from companies like Coach Canada,” said Carolyn Stewart, Executive Director of Feed Ontario. “We thank Coach Canada and their employees for helping to ensure there is food on the shelves at food banks in Ontario.”

Doug Vitro, Senior Manager of Volunteer Programs at the Maryland Food Bank added, “We are grateful to Coach USA for their generous donation of nearly 1,000 pounds of food. Thanks to their support, we’ll be able to provide much-needed assistance to food-insecure Marylanders at a time when inflation and rising costs continue to make things difficult for local families.”
