Paramus, NJ – Recently promoted to Vice President of United States Operations, Newel Scoon has been appointed to Trucking Against Trafficking and Busing on the Lookout, TAT Board of Directors as of September 2024.
Scoon joined Coach USA through one of its companies, One Bus, Inc., in 1999. Starting as an accounting clerk, his career steadily advanced, including working as an assistant controller, moving into multiple operations positions,and then becoming Safety Director at the Coach USA Elizabeth, New Jersey facility. Scoon was promoted to Assistant General Manager at Suburban Transit in 2008. Four years later, he transitioned to Service Development manager at Megabus. In this role, he ensured Coach USA delivered proper service standards to customers throughout the Megabus network. From 2015 to 2021, he served as General Manager of Community Coach, and then General Manager of Shortline, Coach USA’s largest operation. He began his current role in 2024, with responsibilities for delivering services safely and efficiently to customers, while meeting internal fiscal expectations and managing company policies and procedures.
